Thankfully, the banding went very well! Mom was definitely upset, but wasn't doing anything out of character as far as defending the nest. Stooping did take place, and alarm calling was constant.

Three young were banded as follows:
1. "Master Casper" - Male, 635 grams, 18 days, band 35Y, blue tape.
2. "Master Byron" - Male, 611 grams, 21 days, band 36Y, white tape.
3. "Ms. Marla" - Female, 889 grams, 22 days, band 15X, red tape.

Casper was a little vocal, Byron was very quiet, and Marla was screaming bloody murder, she's definitely one fiesty female!

Sincere thank you's to everyone from the building who assisted. Also thank you to the MNR team Mark, Melissa and Lizzy. And lastly, the biggest thanks of all goes to the real risk-takers John Miller and particularly Bryan Thomas. Bryan had quite a busy trip to the nest ledge and did a great job!!

Glad to report that Mom and young are doing well. A feeding was observed shortly after 5PM, thank you to webcam viewers for logging this. I'm personally pretty tired, I can only imagine how tired our busy falcon Mom is.

A few photos have been added to this blog including an ID image to keep track of the 3 young in the weeks to come.
