Friday update
Afternoon update - The male was seen at the nest before 2PM, already having trouble keeping the growing young under him. Their eyes do not appear fully open yet. The female appeared with large prepared prey and fed the young.
After feeding took place, the female flew off with the remaining food and stowed it in a cache one level above the nest ledge. Another feeding took place after 5PM.
Other things:
The banding of our young falcons is being arranged. The MNR prefers to band at ~25 days of age, June 5 is being discussed but nothing confirmed just yet.
Our adults are looking pretty relaxed compared to last year. Territorial attacks have been less frequent and the window washers so far haven't caused any issue.
More greetings received from distant followers, some friends in BC and also Finland!
Residents:
- Still awaiting a signal amplifier for the lobby cam image, it didn't arrive today, hopefully next week.
