Jun 1, 2009 - Monday upate - 21, 20, 18 - Mom knows all...

Today the falcons are 21, 20 and 18 days old. Please read below reports for more info.

Update: A bit more was found out about our male. He was located ~1.5kms north of the nest site. He has a broken wing but nothing more is yet known about his injury. He's in very good hands and still being assessed. It's very unlikely he will return to the site this season, nothing more known.

In the past few days, Mom has been trying to find her mate. She is much more sensitive to everything, and has been reported stooping (ie. dive-bombing) multiple residents on multiple PH balconies, and was also witnessed hovering in front of a window perhaps checking if the male was inside.

In other words, she's stressed and much more concerned with anything happening around her. Please pass this info along to residents that may not follow this web site, and exercise caution when outside. In a normal situation Mom would not be doing this, clearly things aren't normal for her right now.

The banding is still scheduled for tomorrow at 2PM, depending on how Mom reacts.
