Jun 23, 2009 - Tuesday - Ms. Marla fledges!

Brief update amidst the chaos. Shortly after 9AM Marla fledged, having a very graceful first flight across to the south side.

Byron is all over the place, currently MIA somewhere on the roof but he's been flying well so far.

Casper has not fledged as of 11AM but is looking primed to go, Mom is trying to encourage him.

10PM Update - more chaos took place sometime around 830PM. Marla took flight and had a botched landing causing a collision with the metal siding on top of the south tower. From there it seems she rebounded and made her way back to the nest ledge, which I only say because there were two birds there as of 9PM.

One juvie (presumably Byron the Balcony Bugger) is spending the night on the east side of the south tower on a high-up window sill. Will check first thing in the morning for him.

Casper stayed put today, maybe he'll go tomorrow.
