Feb 23, 2010 - You lookin at me? - updated 5PM - First Observed Mating!

Fred sent me some colourful pictures he shot at lunch time today. It appears Jack decided to fly by and enjoy some of our fine local falcon cuisine. As usual, the catch of the day seems to be Pigeon :)

Oddly, this morning I noticed Mom at the south end of the property, and Jack was at the nest ledge at the same time.

5PM Update - I just happened to be out walking the dog, looked and saw Mom on the top of the building, Jack a few levels below (south end). A minute later I heard the tell-tale squawking and sure enough spot a tangle of falcon body parts. A few seconds later Jack flew off, leaving Mom up on the roof looking around in a bewildered state as she's done before. Well golly gee, looks like the season is getting underway, oh yay! :)
