Monkey business on the south side
This morning two adults were spotted at the southmost end of the complex. Eee-chupping sounds were heard, continuing for a few minutes, following which "Jack" emerged from the ledge and flew off. Mom was also on the ledge and proceeded to finish part of a meal and then departed.
Experts in the field of avian biology including the MNR have commented that mating at this time of year isn't going to happen. Based on that, the past week of courtship antics are nothing to worry about... right?
